Non-Exec Directors

We focus on non-executive directors who can contribute meaningfully and independently to the company's corporate governance. We know what does work and what doesn't work, and we have contributed to South Africa's leading companies in their success in this field. Eden Africa has placed NED’s with both JSE listed and non-listed organizations. We are professional and discreet.

NED’s should be expected to make a real contribution to the governance of the company. In the past, it sometimes seemed that South African companies used to select NED’s who were just there for window dressing – to give profile to the company, whilst keeping out of the real work of the business. We believe that NED’s should add value to the company.

We therefore advise clients to be cautious of non-executive candidates who already serve on lots of Boards because they can be spread too thin and may not have the necessary time required to prepare and make a meaningful contribution.

The NED Process and Terms page describes what we commit to deliver, and what we charge, and can be viewed here.
